Isn't the Port of Orlando really Port Canaveral? Does my geography know-how need an update? = Orlando (Orange County) is landlocked. It is Brevard County that borders the Atlantic Ocean. West of Orlando, there is the Port of Tampa on the Gulf of Mexico.

There were cameras on site when I drove to the neighborhood the area was questionable. But never judge a book by its cover there are plenty cameras on site I saw other cars that were there overnight maybe longer no damage to them.

I wouldn't do it, Peter. Even if rushed...it's not worth your time, sanity and money. You can't do justice to Central Florida nor the Gold Coast of Florida in such a hurry. Relax with Mickey & Minnie...Next time plan on visiting so many world-class shopping emporiums in Palm Beach County. Don't forget the Museums and the Henry Flagler Mansion, etc., etc.

GoPort is a shuttle from the Orlando airport to Port Canaveral. I do not think there is a direct shuttle from the train station. You might need to get a short-term shuttle, Uber or taxi to the Orlando airport and then catch the GoPort shuttle to Port Canaveral. Sorry.

It could be 30+ dollars,it was closer than my hotel in lake buena vista and I paid 45+ dollars.

Hertz I think is downtown close to the bento restaurant so you have to go to downtown.

If you hire from Hertz they drop car to you at the station (or that's what they say on advertisement at the station hope that helps

Hello Sharon, You can check Greyhound bags @ the Orlando bus station, however, I you CANNOT check Amtrak bags at the bus station. They are seperate and unrelated entities. To my knowledge, they do not have any intra agency agreements for passenger baggage. Catch the sunrail south to Sandlake n board the train to the plane bus 111...gets you there in 12 mins....just 411..the $2 train ticket let's u board the bus for free

Minor correction to Mr. Fields response.. The northern end of the Auto Train spur is located in Lorton Virginia right off Interstate 95. (McLean VA is about 20miles north of the Auto Train platform end of the line.) I've used the AutoTrain 4x now and it really beats driving the 13-15 hrs to Orlando from norther VA.

Hi Michele, There are 3 medical centers nearby that are maybe two blocks away. They each have multistory parking garages that are easy to access and have long term parking 🅿 Arnold Palmer cancer center and Winnie Palmer Women's hospital give them A call for pricing. Very easy access to the station via a lightly traveled back street that is line of sight from the station. Drop your baggage and drive to the garage, easy walk or short cab ride back. The Amtrack station parking lot is small and not secure for long term parking.

If your plan is to use public transportation, you have to ride one bus and the sunrail, uber could be about $20. 30min

Hi Annie  I am an Amtrak customer, just like you and I will try to help. This is a frequent Google Maps question and Amtrak may not respond to this page.  The easiest way to get schedules, prices and tickets is to use Playstore's AMTRAK app on your phone.  With respect to staff that is Hispanic, I'm not sure, but the last time I was there, a ticket agent was using fluent Spanish to help a client.  Finally, your Google Maps application will help you find the Miami train station, the cruise terminal and tell you the distances between them. Also plan transportation to the Orlando station as there is no long-term parking on site. There are 3 garages from the hospital about 2 blocks away that can be accommodated long term if necessary.  Have a fun cruise.  Timothy

Very near by are three large medical centers, each having their own parking garages appropriate and available for you to park in. Orlando Health, Arnold Palmer children's, and Winnie Palmer Women's medical centers surround Orlando Station making secure parking easy for you. Hi Charlene, Everyone so far is giving you great information. I'll try to add a little bit to it and help. There are several ways to get to Port Canaveral, some faster than others. Firstly, it's approximately 60 miles from Orlando Station to the terminals in the Port. Time of day makes a tremendous difference in travel times as the station is off of Orange Ave. In downtown. Easiest/fastest Route Sr 408 To Sr 417 and thence eastbound on SR 528 direct to the Port. Google maps will most likely select this route for you unless you deselect toll roads in preferences. Any other selected routes could double or triple your drive times, primarily getting outside of Orlando metro. If you are arriving prior to the cruise your hotel will most likely be beyond the port entrance along the Beachline/Sr A1A in Cocoa Beach. Enjoy your cruise! Tim

It's not a good Station. I was frightened by it. I wouldn't let a friend or family member use it. Use you Google Map to view this area. It's not somewhere you should leave a vehicle.

The Poinciana station is part of phase 2 of the Sunrail expansion. It isn't running yet, it may be done in 2018. So for now, there isn't a way to take the train from Orlando to Poinciana. Once it is finished you will be to travel from Orlando Station to Poinciana on the Sunrail Train.
