A great evening event in Providence, RI. Please do donate onsite as it takes a lot to get this event rolling year to year.

WaterFire was a good experience. I knew they lit the fires, but I didn't know there was a whole ceremony behind it. I also learned that partial lighting is more or less just the ceremony. The full lighting has more fires and there are vendors down the street. I recommend going at least twice. See the ceremony during a partial lighting when it is less crowded then come again during a full lighting to see the vendors.

It is pet friendly. On good days, it's a little like a mini dog show.
Depends on how badly it starts to rain. Light rain no heavy rain yes.
Friday. I just don't know what time it starts. But you don't want to miss it
Next one is partial lighting ✨ Oct.27. There is a website for Waterfire-Waterfire.org
Sorry Alicia I just saw this. No. We dont have a fire tonight. We will have partial fires this month in the basin (next to the mall) on the 9th, 18 & 24th. * THESE DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION OR CHANGE.* Stay safe.
Don't know, check their website.

They have not canceled, the rain is supposed to stop and clear up.
The Providence Rive Boat Company picks up passengers at the dock the Waterplace Park Basin and the La Gondola has a dock near the Citizens Bank Plaza. Both companies require reservations which must be made in advance. The dock at 129 Dyer Street is used for by Providence Kayak during the week and is reserved for WaterFire's fire-tending vessels during WaterFire lightings.
First one is this Saturday
Read for each date full lighting was til 11pm
No... I think this season is canceled...
I... have no idea. I doubt it but who knows? Waterfire gets super packed...
https://waterfire.org/schedule/2019-waterfire-providence-event-schedule/ has the dates for the season. It looks like November 2nd was the last one for this year.
Fire gets lit at sunset usually a little later
Still an okay walk around the riverbank. Nice but not exciting.
Check out schedule at waterfire.org
Not sure don't think so but if you Google waterfire schedule 2019 it will give schedule fir the year same if you look up waterfire on facebook..June 1st is first one just looked it up
Just Google waterfire to get a full schedule. The ones listed as full lighting are best.
Hi Chiara, they don't seem to have a 2019 schedule yet, but last year it looks like the first lighting was at the end of May. Here is where I looked: https://waterfire.org/schedule/2018-waterfire-providence-event-schedule/ Hope that helps!
Internet will help 😂
No more until next year (unless you count the thing on New Years Eve, but that's not really a Waterfire event).
You may want to bring some money for snacks or drinks, or just bring some with you. 😀
The only fee is for parking unless you're early enough to find a spot on the street somewhere. The metered parking is free after 6 pm. Parking can range from $10 - $20 depending on the lot.
You can park at the mall Saturday night only $2 & it's only less than a mile walk
The website would indicate whether it is a full lighting or not. Full lightings usually do.

No need to check in.
You want a cool place, check out fort witherall in Jamestown. Lots of walking paths and an abandoned fort by the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Sunsets are awesome
I think the next one is on November
Next one is on Nov 4th..salute to veterans
Ok Thank You.☺
The fires are all contained in small enclosures that are lit one by one by boat. They don't light the entire river.
