Two things have me writing this positive review. 1st...A little while back I was having some issues with my internet and tech support checked a few things, determined it was my older router and sent me a new one! My 2nd point of praise...while grading my driveway with a landscape rake I broke/snapped my fiber optics. The 1st person I spoke to helped me realize the obvious and many things rise up through the earth in Vermont!!! Two different people came to my house within a couple of hours of my call! They hooked up a temporary line and we discussed since this type of thing happens...how to have a more permanent solution. Thank you to all of you!!!

Pay, pay, pay! But alas, you don't get nearly a value in what you pay for! You have limited options for plans - all leave you in a bad spot. First; you have an option for an "unlimited" plan (similar to your cell phone) that has some high speed and then is supposed to be throttled after that based on network loading. This tier is essentially unusable after you hit the high speed allotment. Throttled so absolutely aggressively you can't send a simple email without praying to the tech gods that the message will go through. Think you want to have a little smart speaker at the ready for your beck and call? Think again. The base internet that it requires to sit idle will kill all of your meager allotment before you get to use it for something more useful. Naturally, after dealing with this frustration you will likely switch to a metered plan, because let's face it, you have only two options for service. You fork out $$$$ for every mb that traverses the airwaves in allotments (keep in mind this includes devices sitting idle using a scant bit of internet to stay online each and every day). Go into the next tier by less than a GB, well, you pay! No graces to you! It's engineered at its core for a nice cash grab! So you pay, and you pay, and you pay. I'll admit - I'd gladly pay for the service and have a very different view IF the pricey service was worthwhile. Premium price premium service right? It's not. More frustration. You have 30+ mbps of blissful low latency throughput one minute and then 2-5mbps the minutes following that blissful period that brought you false hope. There's no consistency. Want to stream a movie?! Good luck!! You have to set all your devices to lower quality to prevent buffering. If that's not bad enough, you have to contend with frequent unexplainable outages at all the best times. Modem shows connected, tech support shows it should be ok, but alas the site engineering team will have to take a look. Want to get on Microsoft teams for work? Roll the dice baby!! You might get all the way through that work call you really need to accomplish without dropping. But instead of using that primo Plantronics headset and integrated calling - you dial in on your cell phone so at least the audio stays consistent if/when the team session glitches. This all just stings because you're bleeding cash for this level service. I do not have another option, as I'm pretty remote and starlink hasn't accepted me for beta yet. Absolute plus side worth noting - above all this -support and customer service actually local and super friendly. They really try their hardest to make things better. Genuinely. So, make the choice of providers with this in mind. I want to love my home state internet provider, I just wish it came with either a great level of service for the premium price or some version of reasonably throttled unlimited service at a price in-between your two options.

I have had gigabit internet through VTel since 2020, and have never had any issues. Their customer service has been outstanding, and the cost for Internet in our area is both competitive and reasonable.

Hi Oma! This link may be helpful :) https://www.vermontel.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/channel-lineup-complete-11-20-18.pdf

We recently switched from our satellite TV provider because they cut out NESN. We are happy with the change but wonder if it is possible to get the MLB network?

Hi Deanna, thank you so much for joining VTel, we are happy to have you. Regretfully, we do not carry MLB, but we would recommend their online streaming service, if you are able to enable it on your SmartTV (i.e., Roku or similar). One small piece of advice, the MLB streaming service can have black out periods in which they cut out streamers in favor of broadcasters who carry the MLB network, especially during high volume events. That said, we take this feedback seriously and we've forwarded it over to our TV Team in case we have an opportunity to carry this station in the future. Thank you again for being a customer.

Nobody. They do not monitor their network so they would not know what is happening but leave a message and if you are lucky you will get an answer after the problem fixes itself.
