We had a wonderful time. There is a donation fee of $5.00 per person. No pets as it is a Nature Preserve. There were volunteers on the boardwalk that were quick to answer questions and highlight some of the foliage and animals. The entirety is a boardwalk trail with benches placed throughout to take a rest if needed. The nature center and gift shop was nice. All the workers/volunteers were incredibly sweet.

Google says this is open and usually as busy as it gets. It’s closed. Evidently doesn’t open until February? We will try again but don’t waste the ride out until February. Lots of parking with a visitor center.

Beautiful quiet remote nature 'fen' preserve. All boardwalk through woodland wetlands. Very nice educational signs. $5.00 donation well worth touring this gem.

They were not when I was there but they may be now.
It hosts many different species of plants and animals that are considered threatened or endangered, including the massasauga snake and a species of turtle. Good question.
Bogs only have water coming in, and it leaves by evaporation only. A fen has water moving through it, but is wet year round.
Cedar Big is s nature preserve, it does not permit dogs on the boardwalk or trails. This is generally true of Preserves in Ohio.
Only shelter is the nature center and no picnic areas. Hours are 10:00 to 16:00.
$5 per adult and worth every penny
I haven't been out to check yet, but they usually bloom the last week of May or the first week of June. You could give them a call tomorrow and I'm sure someone would be able to tell you the best time to view them.
