I was charged $375 for a garbage disposal installation and pvc pipe replacement under my kitchen sink. The plumber (young guy) ran the water to show me its draining. However I did not check to see if he turned the hot water back on under the sink. I assumed it was on when he was running water. I didn't realize the hot water was off until the next day. I tried to turn it back on but the push button under the sick broke. I called them and told them the situation. The next day the same plumber came out and claims he turned the hot water back on. I told him no, he forgot but unfortunately I had no proof, it was his word against mine. He said he couldn't fix the button and had to change the entire valve. Also he said he had to change the water lines for the dishwater and sink because they were not compatible. This resulted in additional $195. I asked if I can at least get the $100 service call waived since this is the 2nd time out here and he forgot to turn the hot water back on. Again he said he couldn't do it. This was a waste of $195 all because I did not check to make sure he turned the hot water back on.
