I love this place, hate how it's vandalized. I have no issues with graffiti but I hate seeing long John Johnson's where families go.

Park not that well maintained though beautiful views of Greenfield and Turners Falls. Ample benches for watching the sunset. Poet's Seat is fun to walk up though the top level was closed when I went there.maybe because the Holiday lights were still installed on top.

This is an incredibly wonderful trail for hiking or running and it's a beautiful slice of nature, right in the heart of the Patch in Turners Falls. The trail is easily accessible and often wide enough to drive. But more importantly, it is a level and enjoyable trek into the woods. I'm not sure, how long the trail actually is. It felt like about 2 miles and I was constantly aware of the Connecticut River just below, only a few yards away. And it felt good to have that magnificent body of water accompany us, as we walked into the forest.

Hello, Is the tower at Rocky Mountain Park accessible by car today? Where can I find a map of the hiking trails with distances in the park?

The gate should be opened up now that the snow is all melted. If not it's only a 10 minutes walk on pavement. Maps when available are in a box at the gate. The nicer trail is across the road from the parking lot. Blue trail I think. It leads to a wooden platform with a nice view. Have fun!
