Bathrooms were gross, and showers were deplorable. NOT GOING BACK.

I love ❤️ this place! it's so nice to have a beautiful woodsy place to walk the dogs. They love it & have great fun! I wish people would give it more respect & care though. I regularly bring an extra bag with me to pick up trash people drop. It makes me sad to see that some care so little for it. It won't be around long if we don't treat it better.

They don’t get any stars from me I was trying to bring my kids to the bathroom and then to the park and didn’t even make it past the bathrooms due to a worker there yelling at me and not staying 6 ft away from me or my kids he was so close he could of sat in the car with us and not staying 6 feet from my pregnant girl friend

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. Plenty of trails and paths to get lost in. Try it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Only a camping fee...free day use and there is a brand new big playground for the kids and adults! We love it there❤
Outside the Park is a spot that is probably the cleanest spot to swim in, I do every year I am not afraid of turtles they don't get near me, just don't swim or Wade in the Weeds, its a boat launch and a little sand ,picnic tables are there as well...
Yes, dogs are allowed if on a leash.
The improvements throughout the park made it much nice and also to open the campground back up for campers. They even redid the beach at the campground
Plenty of bike riding all paved. I love the park lots of walking around beautiful hiking trails.
I was just on the web site and saw they have some availability starting tomorrow. I tried to screen grab for you to see with no luck.
Yes they have some paved sites in the electric side. The pond has handicap parking and there is a dirt path that fits down to the beach which is all sand.
They do not typically. It is usually by availability. If you reserve in time you can block the time needed/wanted. But there is no option for a season.
The site size varies, but is listed for each site on reserveamerica.com
I didn't see any hammocks so I can't answer that specific question. But I can tell you that a tent site without power or water is $17 per night. Also any camping is limited to a paid site so you're not supposed to hike and camp anywhere else. in short, Massachusetts sucks. Within your sight I can't see any reason why they wouldn't allow hammocks unless It would damage the trees. Also, don't bring your own wood. They don't allow wood from outside. You will have to buy theirs or find local Deadwood which is not abundant.
Yes
Yes. It wasn't plumbing issues. The park was struck by lightning about 10 years ago. I believe this is their 2nd or 3rd season opened. It's gorgeous as ever. Was just there this past weekend.
Most of the sites are of a fist size and you shouldn't have an issue backing in. The max stay is 14 days total during the season
Didn't look like it was yesterday.
No camping ever again ☹️😒😒
Follow middleboro ave and take the entrance. Has a large sign out front massasoit state park
Loop A and B have hook ups. No pool, but an awesome playground.
$17 per night I believe with no hookups
No outside firewood, pallets or construction material and if they see it the will take it.
You would have to park outside the gate and walk through, pretty far, to get to the playground
Yes it is, you may have to call them ahead and book if you plan to stay.
Yes, you can find more info on: https://www.mass.gov/locations/massasoit-state-park
No reservations, plenty of tables throughout the park
There is an additional parking lot for guests at the entrance. I do not believe guests are allowed to park at the actual campsite. Curphew is 10pm. Absolutely NO alcohol. Some- one once told me it's supposed to be max 4 adults, 4 kids, 4 pets. However, I think that is just for the nite-- not for guests (but don't quote me). Here is the link if you would like more info: https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/massasoit-state-park/MA/32611/overview
No. There are campsites close but not on the water
They do have a gorgeous playground. I know that they have some grills in the camping areas, but I don't think I've ever seen a gazebo. However, Watson State Pond, also in Taunton, does have a large gazebo area about the size of a carport. It also has a playground not as nice as Massasoit State Park though. They also have grills that you can use. The only thing about the gazebo is that since it's free, it's first come first serve. Most people get there early and set up for birthday parties. I prefer Massasoit it's much cleaner and it's in a better area of Taunton. You could probably call the park ranger and ask them if you could put up a portable awning like the ones people used to tailgate. And I'm pretty sure you can bring your own Grill if you really need it to where they can point you in the direction of an area that has grills for you to use for your party. Good luck and happy birthday to your son.
They have electrical and non-electrical campsites. There are water spickets in each loop, as well as washing stations for dishes and big, clean batbrooms, including showers.
Yes. Booking is thru Reserve America. https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/massasoit-state-park/MA/32611/overview Pricing and length of stay varies. Usually limited to 14 continuous days.
No the park is tearing up the back trails and working on them wondering why all the trees have come down and path is closed
I'm not sure if theres trails specificly for horses but I always see people with horses there.
Yes. There are electric and water hookups for each site with a sewer dump just outside the camping area.
94 sites for tents and campers and handicap mix in.i work there so the right info not all will be open this weekend due to continue construction
93 sites which of 40 are non electric generator free and tent sites
Not really but if you're looking for something flat to ride on I would suggest using the Service Roads because it's all paved. I would definitely give the trails a try because there are some sections that are challenging but not extremely difficult.
Yes, electrical $27 a night and non-electrical $17 a night
Unfortunately not. Still a nice place to visit. Try lake rico which is right outside the entrance to the park about 100 yards down the road. You would need to bring your own grill.
Yes but there under construction,if you want to picnic there's a few tables outside the park at lake Rico
I made a delivery there last week was told camping area would be open starting Aug. 18th
Don't know when it will open for camping but there's construction going on now. Park is open for hiking, fishing.
The camping area has been closed for a few years, but its currently under construction. So it seems like they're planning to reopen them soon.
When isit going to open???
