A beautiful, clean and comfortable station with various amenities that meets your needs. Professional, courteous and nice staff and employees of the various stores. Trains are always on time so make sure you get here early and in line to catch them or that's your loss and consequences. Always feel good being here and traveling from here.

The #1 rail station in all of upstate NY! Owned by CDTA just like Saratoga and Schenectady stations. Lots of seating with USB and 110v outlets and two stores with a post office, a nice clock, and the CDTA does all its board meetings here too. Big yard and 4 platforms to accommodate many trains at once. Only complaint is the automatic platform doors are slow to open when coming up the escalators and stairs from platforms with one set of doors saying out of service on a sign. Street automatic doors are ok and manual door to post office opens ok.

Good station with food available inside. Good place to stop and stretch.

is there a possible chance of leaving my car parked at the station for a week?
Uber is around $20
No. There's a 5:55 a.m. train that gets in at 8:18. That's the first train
At NY penn station yes
Best bet would be to book online. Amtrak.com
Yes. Be aware of the cancelation policy.
9:45pm
You can always just call 1-800-USA-RAIL and they will forward you
Hard to say for sure but it is a real possibility.
You can bring two personal items, two carry on bags, and two checked bags all free of charge
Enterprise has a branch inside the train station
The station address is 525 East Street. The parking facility address is 615 East Street
yes, they were
I do not know if they have lockers, but there is a postal service in a station with Amtrak. Possibility of them having a place or locker to accommodate
They have a covered garage area and additional long term.parking outside uncovered
Short answer, yes. It costs more for the garage I believe. Outside parking is less.
There are parking lots and a parking garage that you can pay to leave your car in. The rates are pretty reasonable
Take any Empire Service train to Penn Station, transfer to the Queens bound A subway line, and transfer to the AirTrain at Jamaica station.
The garage is now closed.
You can do either.
There are several a day
I'm sorry I can't help you I'm not sure or familiar. Check it on Google maps
Yes. The train station parking is secure
Free parking is for an hour. You'll have to pay for long-term parking, $8 or $12 per day depending on the lot
Yes
They have Quik-Trak kiosks, so I am pretty sure that you can.
To my knowledge no. You would have to change trains
Yes
Dont know I call amtrack
Amtrak located @ 525 east st in rensselaer
Yes.
Parking is ample.
Well, two thoughts: first you can take train up like you said to Albany. Across the Hudson River from Rensselaer train station is Greyhound. Greyhound goes up to Montreal and Niagara Falls. If staying on train for a long trip is problem for dog you could try cutting up your trip; meaning take train 63 up to say Syracuse. Get off train for a couple of hours walk dog then board train 281. Take that to Niagara Falls. Then cab to border and walk across. Other option is take train 49. Ride that to Albany then walk around train station for about 40 minutes get back on train and ride to Buffalo. Buffalo train station open 24 hours. Relax a bit then take city bus to Bus station downtown Buffalo. Then take greyhound or railways or mega bus to Canada. Hope that helps. Montreal pretty much greyhound would be your option from say Albany or Saratoga. Just a thought for you to consider!
Cuz that's on average how long they can go without going.
There is covered parking, as well.
Probably not.
Yes, the parking is free for pick up.
4 tracks; 2 platforms; 2 elevators; 2 escalators.
Holiday Inn across Hudson River from train station-7 min drive from Holiday Inn to Train station!
No the train station is across the river. If you don't have your own taking the train is the fastest. You can Uber to the train station.
Just a little before 8:25 😁😃
I beleive its 6am-8pm.
Some times we have good days and bad days.. just like the mailman
Not really - plenty of cabs are available though. There is Enterprise car rental at both locations if you are willing to pay extra $50 drop off fee. This way you have a car for a day to drive around Capital Region. Taxi would be $35 or so.
Yes, there are almost always disabled spaces available in the garage. If the garage is full when you arrive, ask the attendant at the booth to let you in or press the intercom button at the garage gate. When you leave, hand the attendant your valid disabled placard with your ticket to receive 50% off the normal garage parking rate
CDTA, owner of the rail station, operates a 24 hour parking facility directly attached to the station. All of the information can be found here : https://www.cdta.org/rail-stations
https://www.cdta.org/rail-stations/84 This has all the information for you. Each of these lots surrounds the Amtrak station.
They do have cab service from Rensselser! Cabs are lined up typically so you won't have to wait!
Both types: Parking structure where u won't get wet or real cold plus won't need to shovel snow. So outdoor lot is well lighted and On major holiday"s people stay at home to enjoy everything
How much per day to park in the parking lot at Albany train station
Didn't look good last visit about two weeks ago.
Not sure they were doing upgrades when we were there
It seems to me it was $ 7 a day. No reservation necessary
Yes. But with a robust Uber culture, why would you?
What is the CLOSEST place that you go to Chattanooga, TN.
Yes there is thought it is not always manned and you may have to call them prior to arivving.
Yes. But call an Uber.
Yes! Leprechaun Bus Lines has a shuttle that costs $1 to the Beacon Train station operating monday through Friday 9 am to 8 pm. Take a northbound Hudson line train to Croton-Harmon staion. Get off there and take any Amtrak train to Rensselaer station. A taxi or Uber should only cost about 15-20 dollars from Stewart to Beacon. I would recommend a taxi.
You can park up to two hours free.
Yes, at the Railway station
It's best to check the website or app or the company, for instance Amtrak. If you were riding on Amtrak, their app tells you all the info about your train. The station does have a sign for trains moving in and out of the station.
