breeding and selling birds should be a crime. there are so many in rescues who need a home. adopt, never shop, and remember, most birds will outlive you and are VERY expensive, fragile "pets". if you think a regular vet bill is bad, try an avian exotics vet. stop supporting places like this so they have to stop selling birds from breeders and switch to running an accredited rescue or sanctuary.

Best bird store ever!

Full service shop with friendly & knowledgeable staff. This crew it's the most knowledgeable in the Capital District. Saturday's are a great time to be in store as people bring in their birds, food is shared and there's a 50/50. A good time will be had by all. They board birds and have full service grooming available. Food, treats and toys are available for all your birds needs.

Thank you all. I'm looking forward to going there.
Was in there recently for parrot food, lot of bird noises(always is), but you'll have to call to check stock.
They have some there, not sure what is and isn't for sale. Call them with any questions, very helpful.
They do at different times, just call and ask
They do at times. I don't know if there are any currently.
Yes they do! I bought my Senegal there 12 years ago, and bring her back regularly to visit and board when i go on vacation. They also have a couple of resident Senegals that are not for sale, but they absolutely do sell them, and they are mischievous little sweethearts!
They do board birds and are wonderful. Call ahead to make reservation
Do u have African gray parrot that are friendly
Have to call the store, they are very helpful and very knowledgeable about all things bird related.
I don't work there. Here's their link. http://www.rensselaerbirdcenter.com/
No appts. Tue-Thur 2pm to 6pm Fri-Sat 12pm to 6pm
They require a mask worn and social distancing inside at all times and ask you use the provided hand sanitizer at the entrance.
Yes you can call them great places
Would have to call them. I don't know what's for sale.
There's never any guarantee that a bird can talk, and it's a really poor reason to get a bird. I know you're probably just trying to have similarities to your bird you lost (so sorry) but each bird is so different just like people! Have you ever considered a Quaker? Quaker parakeets are just a bit bigger than a cockatiel with TONS of personality! My sister had 2 and both were amazing talkers! Only down side is they are more aggressive and tend to be bitey. If you can handle a few bites though, If check out a Quaker! Normals are green but they come in beautiful blue as well, and I've seen yellow ones too! I know she gets baby Quakers in at the bird store sometimes. Also there's a bird rescue in east Greenbush if you'd want an adult bird that might already talk.
You don't order a parrot. You go there and meet them and if you decide to buy one you spend time getting to know it and bond with it before you even consider taking it home. By the way, you order pizza. This will be a family member.
They have in the past. Call them
Bring to a wildlife place for care, the bird will die if you try to care for it. It too young!! Post this on a facebook group and someone can help you find where to bring him
They do hand raise their birds. They are very knowledgeable and can answer that question if you ask directly.
They have quite the selection at times so just call and ask what they have theyll let you know
