Honestly, it can be if you're able to cope with things not being as it should be overall. Simple things that should or would seem as if it should be normal... isn't. Rodents, building hazards, etc. Not every housing unit or building is like that, however there's the possibility that you could find yourself in what others would call a dump. Once again I stress the fact that it is better that being on the streets as a woman... or anyone for that matter. I can say through my own lifes experiences.... I'm better off in a shelter than on the streets. Peace. Safe travels
