Saint Regis Canoe and BIKE Area. I explored a loop through the ADK Wilderness roads and the under construction 🚧 rail trail. The Saint Regis Outfitters will soon become a biking hub with it's million dollar location on the new 34 mile rail trail from Lake Placid to Tupper Lake.

First time here and new to kayaking. Spent three days kayak camping/fishing on long pond and hiking long pond mountain. Beautiful place can't wait to go back.

This was my first canoe/camping experience and we went to Site 7 on Long Pond this weekend where we spent three wonderful days exploring this beautiful place. Were pleasantly surprised to find it had a toilet. Planning more trips to the St. Regis area soon, although with less gear.

To your core question: there are multiple designated campsite locations within the the Saint Regis Canoe Area. You've got it the details backwards; the canoe area is part of the Adirondack Park, a New York state park roughly the size of Massachusetts. Specific information on camping in the SRCA is available at this website: https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/70572.html You may also want to read the wikipedia entry, and google "camping in the saint regis canoe area" and/or "camping in the Saranac Lake Wild Forest".
No permits, first come first serve. Maximum 3day stay at a site minimum group size, gow to NY DEC web site for more info.
