Love this walk, water is always stocked. The trail around the lake is the perfect length to get out and decompress

Great hiking place! Our 4yo was able to walk all the 2.5 miles!! It has several picnic tables and benches along the way to rest. It also has plenty of shade.

You would think for the amount we pay in property taxes we could at least park our car and walk around a lake without having to pay for parking But with that being said, if you're in the area, it's worth the effort to walk around

Great park. Clean and good for hiking, with lots of water stations.

Ginger has called it right. You would have to be fairly dedicated to boating to transport a boat all the way from the parking area to the 'ramp' in order to put in.
Yes you can... you do need a permit but you can get a shore only license for $0 online or at walmart.
I would guess that they do because of the fees involved. It's a pretty big park. My and my fiancee and I visited Lake Rogers a week ago.
There is a canoe/kayak launch inside the park, but you can't drive up to it. You have to park and then carry or cart your stuff there.
As stated above. Ideally fishing from a kayak or canoe would be best. Lakeside is not cleared out in many areas.
No swimming, it looks pretty wild, and probably alligators. Good hiking trails, and wildlife viewing. Fishing is good too.
Hopefully the time change will happen
