2019 Jetta, purchased at Carmax about 4 months ago. Have been working with VW Ocala (unsuccessfully) to try and resolve several issues that have popped up with the vehicle, as it is still under warranty. Took my vehicle in this morning to have the trunk springs replaced on recall. Was offered a courtesy wash and accepted. After waiting a full two hours for the work to be completed, I took my keys back and left. As soon as I got the car home I realized that there was bubbling in the clear coat all down the passenger side of the car that was not present when the vehicle was taken in for service. Immediately took the car back to the dealership, and the service manager refused to consider that they may have caused the issue and decided to walk away saying “we’re done.” I then ask to speak with his manager, the general manager. The GM and the sales manager then came out together, refused to acknowledge that their service department may have caused the issue, and maintained a very confrontational demeanor throughout - alleging that I was being “aggressive” despite being badgered by (3) employees at the same time. They suggested that the car had been repainted and they didn’t know it’s history since it was purchased from Carmax (it has not been repainted), and that it wasn’t their problem since I didn’t purchase the vehicle from them. After pushing them to resolve the issue, they demanded I leave and not return. No problem with that on my end, never have I run into such unprofessional customer service in my life. I would much rather drive to Leesburg or Gainesville in the future to avoid dealing with these people. The most irritating part is that the car is still under warranty and either they caused the damage or it was a factory defect that their car wash somehow exaggerated. This could have been dealt with as a warranty claim, but now I will be pursing the matter with VW Corporate, and failing that, through small claims court. Save yourself the aggravation and make the drive to Leesburg, Gainesville, or Orlando.

Mr. Shawn welcomed us when we came to Volkswagen of Ocala on a Saturday afternoon. The car we wanted for a test drive was already parked outside. Then we asked to look at two other cars. After the test drive, Mr. Shawn helped me to analyze the pros and cons of each option. Finally, we purchased a 2019 used ford edge. Mr. Shawn is a very professional sales expert with great patience and efficiency. I will recommend Shwan to my friends if they want to shop for cars in the future. BTW, Volkswagen of Ocala is so well organized. I can feel the management is of a high standard.

I can tell you that they have always done a great job on my car. They kept my beetle on the road & running like new with 300,000+ miles. Danny the service writer is the best. He is always straight forward with you.
