Its changed since I started flying through the year's. Alaska is known as oil rich State. So the airport is named after the Senator Ted Stevens Airport. A few Alaskans travel pretty much everywhere.

If your comfortable on the floor your ok, otherwise the chais are barely comfortable and designed to not allow laying down. For the many people their waiting long hours for flights it's pretty uncomfortable.

Not beyond security. You can smoke downstairs by baggage claim you have to go outside and cross the first drive. The smoking area is the center median.

I would think that you would have to bring a lot of food and formula and stuff, since that probably doesn't have to meet the standards for the no more than 3 ounces for liquids rule. and plenty of diapers, if needed. and a car seat and pacifier, if needed also.

You need some sort of identification in order to fly. A passport, permit, student id, military id, or an in date ID. I don't think they let you through unless you have an Identification of some sort.
