Revolving door of incompetent staff. My father lived there for five years. The facility looks very nice, but the care they get is not up to par. Do your research before moving a loved one in.

American House is beautifully decorated and well maintained. Support staff and P/T are very nice and accommodating. However, this place is not a skilled nursing facility...it is primarily assisted living. They also offer respite care and rehab. Again, if your loved one needs more care than that, do not put them here. I wish the staff, in charge, would have told us that this was not the right fit for my father and he needed more care than they could provide. He was there about 3 1/2 weeks too long. If you choose this place for a loved one, please be an advocate and check on them often. I do appreciate everything Daisy, the activities coordinator and Angie, in culinary did in trying to get my father to eat, as they went above and beyond.

This Company can’t be a five star they contact me and made me till another job that I found a job thinking that they were going to give me a job I did my Covid test my background and I even did the training that they gave me online to turn around to tell me that they can’t give me the position anymore without telling me the reason why

I have been an entertainment vendor for the past year at American House Ft. Myers. During this time I have witnessed something spectacular-the Life Enrichment Director Daisy Godbee! In all my years of doing what I do, I have never met anyone who loves her job more than Daisy! She is always excited about bringing joy and new experiences to the residents. They always seem extremely happy. If you are looking for a beautiful place to live where you will be surrounded by happy people always having fun, check out American House in Fort Myers.
