I am so glad I found Dr. Tomas to repair my inguinal hernia. The staff was amazing. I had minimal swelling and bruising after the procedure and now almost 2 1/2 weeks later, I can tell I'm going to get my life back. So happy to have got this done in a way that doesn't leave foreign meshes in my body, but only uses my own tissue. I can't thank the staff and Dr. Tomas enough. If you want to go to the best, this is where you go!

Dr Tomas performed a bilateral inguinal hernia repair on me in 2014, no mesh. I paid for it myself, and I flew with my wife from Maryland for it. I thank God often for Dr Tomas! I have continued in my active life free from pain! I cut, split with a maul wedges and sledge and hauled in wheel barrels an average of 6 cords of oak every year to heat my house in Maryland till i moved to FL in 2020. The repair worked, it lasted! I'm 64 this year. Thank you thank you! I only wish other men could have the healing I have. I wish other doctors in USA would learn this and insurance would pay for it. God bless you Dr Tomas!

5 stars without hesitation! I apologize for the long review, but I read every single review before choosing Dr. Tomas and his team. Those reviews helped me decide to go with Dr. Tomas. I feel obligated to post my recent (very good) experience and hopefully help someone with questions as they make this very tough decision. I'll also say the couple bad reviews I read made no sense to me and did not "mesh" (pun intended) with the experience I had. Not once did I have a phone call or question go unanswered. Everybody was courteous. It was a first class experience from the first telephone call. I'm so glad I read all of the reviews and chose Dr. Tomas for my double hernia repair. Thanks BJ, Deborah, Esteban, you are all wonderful! I decided to go this route because I do landscape installation (heavy lifting) and want to avoid recurrence if possible. I also wanted to avoid a foreign body. Office experience: -All phone calls were returned same day. -Everyone was professional and courteous. -Never sat in waiting room more than 10 minutes. I'm serious..... in Lee County that never happens, but it did here....... -Clean and professional. -Dr. Tomas never rushes, always takes his time -Waiting room never packed because they obviously pay attention to schedule. -People from all over the world come here for his services. It was interesting- more out of country and out of state patients than locals.... I don't think the locals know this option is right here at home. I was a paramedic for many years and always been involved in the medical field. It's obvious when a medical team has it together. This is a well trained, organized and efficient team. The surgery: IV started first stick- the way it's supposed to be done Nurse anesthesiologist had me sedated before anxiety hit - THANK YOU Pre op instructions clear and concise Post op instructions clear and concise Post op follow up was great In and out within a few hours and back at home. Not much to talk about, they obviously do a lot of these and have it down to a science. I could not have been more comfortable under the circumstances. 7-8 weeks later, I'm back at work and already feel like I can do my normal routine in landscape construction. If I were a desk jockey I would have been back at it within a couple weeks. I'm still taking it easy to gradually rebuild and strengthen, but both hernias gone, can't even see the scars, and I can tell my "core" is back like it was before the injury. I'm sure they have off days like everyone, but all I can do is convey my experience. There was not one negative thing I can even come up with. Sure, post op was uncomfortable, but I had two very large hernias and I expected it. I truly appreciate what this team did for me.
