I've been here multiple times in person and received stellar help. My last visit was the exact opposite! This lady had the audacity to tell me 2 of the most negative things I could possibly hear and I'll quote her. The first thing she told me was, "I'm lucky that I'm only paying $300 a month" and "We aren't going to entertain your request for an adjustment if you haven't had a significant change in circumstances." This woman has no idea what I'm going through in my life. She probably assumed I was super young and felt she could talk down to me which isn't her place to begin with. My court order started out at seeing my son 1 day a week with me paying $1200 a month for almost a year. Now my son has gotten older, now he's asking me why I always take him to school and sometimes mommy doesn't. Which lets me know my son loves being with me and he is aware of what is going on. So, no having to pay child support is not someone is ever lucky to have to pay and it is not entertaining for me to have to explain to my son why things are the way they are without saying anything bad about his mother, who could careless if I'm with him or not and literally laughed in my face and told me, "I better pay her or go to jail!" Worst part about all of this is some parents can lie on their paperwork and put good mom's and dad's in these situations that shouldn't be in these situations.

This is a joke of a place! These people are earning paychecks and for what??? This place needs to be investigated! Not only are they worthless, they pick and choose what they want to enforce or not! And Lord knows they can’t wrap their head around the fact that a father has custody of his children because the mother wouldn’t care for her kids! Oh, and waste of time trying to call!! They have their phones set up to not be able to get through to a human!! You push the correct number to what your calling for and the recording says “not valid number”. Emailed them 2 weeks ago and still NO RESPONSE! So emailed again and waiting to see what happens.

Worst customer service ever. Can never get anyone on the phone and if u do they don't help. I suggest closing these operations down due to incompetence and lack of professionalism.

Walk in
As of this moment, Polk County Child Support Office will be open on Wednesday, September 4th. Our State Emergency personnel are monitoring the storm.
You don't. It's not your money. You can apply for a case with Child Support to have the support be changed over to you
You do not have to visit the office to talk to a live person. You can call the customer service number, select the option “trying to get child support” then verify your SSN and it will put you on hold for a customer service agent
Depends on what your Court Order says
They are very helpful. Nice people. Just go and they give you a number and mostly 10 minutes wait.
Monday through Friday.
These are still minor children whom still require care even being housed in a juvenile facility, however, check with your local child support program
Keep going to the dept of revenue and keep requesting they send an updated court modification copy. Its a hassle but that change has to be done through the other parents job. Also request they take action like "license suspention" hope this helps
Go to the local office for all the information you have on the case. Sometimes if it is done from here and maybe it will be easier since you reside here.
If you seek attorney council they go to every court date, in fact they receive the info before you do.
No appointments needed just walk in. I suggest the earlier the better as it tends to stay full.
Yes. You have to go to departmemt of revenue / child support and ask for a drivers license reinstatment. Then you take the paper to dmv and pay to get license.
You can contact the state attorney's child support division. In bartow . or you can go online to child support eservice create account. They also have a chat line. You can talk to them.
Well if you have the child in your home you can apply for child support . and go to law library file for temporary custody. .by the way plenty of people have filed pro se for tempary custody .before divorce .
Good luck with that. It's not going to happen til you pay what is owed.
