It's a little bit run down but they have some good, non Hollywood films. It's got character, it's cheaper and the other patrons are characters. Being a sweater in cooler weather.

I no longer live in New Haven, but every now and then my wife and I drive back to see a movie here. Last week we went to a chain theater near our home, but the automated ticket purchasing computers were down and it took us 10 minutes to buy our tickets from the overwhelmed cashiers, who had to ask us to open our banking app to see if the payment had gone through (no joke). In an age where everything is automated and wireless and there are fewer interactions with people, it's nice to have a place that is simple and easy. The staff are friendly, there's never a wait, and it's clean. The only, slight drawback is that they don't take cards. Slight inconvenience, but I get that they don't want to lose revenue to the card companies.

I visited this quaint theater for Valentines Day with my husband. The movie tickets were very affordable and the service was great. I even received a Hershey kiss from them in honor of Valentines Day which I thought was very sweet. I’d recommend this theater for anyone looking for an affordable and simple, yet enjoyable movie experience.
