So disappointed! We live a couple blocks away and have been slowly transitioning to WFPB and I was so excited to try this place; I spent all day yesterday stalking their ig. Went there last night at 6:15pm to meet two other friends. When we entered the entire place was filled with visible smoke. At first I thought it was a kitchen fire but nobody working there said anything about it. The kitchen was in the middle of the room all open air, and it seemed like it might be that way a lot. It was really bad, after a few minutes my throat hurt. I don't think I could have lasted much more time in there. Inhaling smoke is pretty carcinogenic so that seems counterproductive to a clean eating establishment. Then we tried ordering a latte--their espresso machine "wasn't on" so no lattes or espresso based drinks. I tried ordering an iced matcha latte and the woman had to ask someone else if they had them (they're on the menu multiple times). Finally we ordered two drinks (matcha and cold brew) and it came to 13 bucks. Yikes. Check the photos for what 13 dollars buys you. Powdered matcha that clumped and was never properly dissolved and a cold brew filled with so many coffee grounds you had to chew with each sip. We then tried to find seating for four since we planned to order food when our friends got there. There were no barstools open for four people but there was a huge section off to the side that had at least 3 visible empty tables, but it had chairs blocking the entrance to it. We asked the staff if we could sit over there since we had friends coming for food. They said another group was in there (I guess they must have been out of our sightline because we only saw empty tables). They told us our option was to wait for enough people to leave that we could sit. We passed and just left, never to ever return again. Super bummed.

My husband and I were at Nu Cafe for brunch today and were mind blown with Buddha bowl, curried cauliflower bowl and the burger. The ginger garlic dressing elevated the taste by multifolds, and I could only wish that they start selling those in bottles in near future. Aside from the bowls, there are several other options for vegans/vegetarians looking to grab high-quality meal at reasonable price, including smoothies, sandwiches and burgers. I must mention that this was our first time here, but definitely not the last.

Salad was good . However added short ribs, which was thin an overcooked. Did not get the value. Had one of their juices it was ok but not worth the high price, which almost equal to my meal. I do not believe they have good ventilation, …

Hey Isaac! You can see the pricing if you go to the order online section.
Hi Joseph, as much as it breaks your heart it breaks ours. Here at NU Kitchen we are going through what most restaurants are experiencing which is labor shortage. We want to make sure the guest and employees experience is up to our standards. In order to make sure your getting the best of NU, we have had to limit our hours temporarily because we don't have enough staff for multiple shifts. We are hoping to go back to normal hours in the next few weeks. We hope to see you soon!
Shield between cashier and customers, gloves worn by all employees, face masks mandatory unless seated, silverware needs to be requested. That's what I've seen.
Thanks so much for rhe reply
No, it's all street parking out front, mostly free short term, with some parking lots close by if you're ok walking a little.
