They actually had a line yesterday dated 1/15/22 like of course it was appointment so I went ahead but it was 8 working bodies so I ended up sitting with the same people who did not have a appointment strongly advise you to make appointment if possible but you are local you have nothing to lose I drove 70+ miles and the staff was understanding and great in my case so you can walk up or contact the IRS # ending in 1040 to schedule a appointment good luck

The offices themselves do not do your taxes, but IRS.gov has info on how to file your taxes for free: https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free And there are other "free file partners" that can also help you do your taxes. Just make sure they are legitimate and not spam or con artists.

I have not received any stimulus check nor my refund, I have mail all my identity information, because I called they said to send it. I'm still waiting. I like to have an appointment but it really difficult to get to correct area of site to get one.

Absolutely not. They insist on you calling to make an appointment. I told the security guard that I had not been able to get through but he just laughed and said I just needed to be more persistent

My tax preparer made a mistake last year and put someone else's bank checking numbers on my income tax statement. I have all information and copies of previous years's taxes. I would like to get this straightened out. My return and stimulus went to another person (which I happened to get from her), but after a lot of calling and having the tax preparer admit his mistake and giving me that person's name. However, I would like to have my information correct and would like to do this in your office. Thank you

For that situation I would refer to the Florida Department of revenue child support division. Even if he filed under his parents as a dependent is still would not exempt him from paying child support if he is working a job that requires him to pay taxes which is every legitimate job.

The irs will never call you. That sounds like a scam. Call your local police dept and report it but for sure do not give them any info over the phone.
