Wow. Kinda felt like a criminal just by walking in there. This is a US government agency? Do they not believe in being kind? I tried calling but could not get through, so I went in. I did get an appointment, so happy about that. Maybe my appointment experience will be better. Looks like besides the security guard, only one person works there. He told me that he was helping someone else. Very odd place. A rather low customer service experience. Just as a reference, I have worked in local government for much of my career, and this would not be tolerated by upper management in any office that I know of.

This is nothing but a big big mess up on the IRS and government handling of people that are trying to get a hold of her you cannot find them you can’t go out on the Internet wasn’t you get letters you can’t even respond to the letters even what’s going on with our government I wish somebody would get into that instead of yelling and screaming in Congress get in there and do something about the IRS because they sure aren’t doing anything now that’s why you get a one star if I was in control of it I’d fire everybody and start all over.

After 4 months of not being able to make an appointment, I get told that they aren't taking any new cases until May 17. If it was possible I'd give them a zero.

I'm inquiring about an appointment to find out why I didn't receive the first $600.00 that everyone got. My name is Susan Bodon

You would be better off getting through & an appointment however they may make you an appointment of you walk-in or possibly help you.
Have you ever gotten through yet I've been trying for months too
Irs.gov
I'm trying to figure out exactly the same thing
Keep trying We drove up there and got turn away
Yes
You have to call the 1 800 number. Listen to the menu. Finally I went on the web and pay online
Call
Yes, by appointment only. You can get the number from Google.
You have to schedule an appointment. They're appointment only. I made the mistake of just showing up. Please be ready for a thorough security check. Empty pockets and an empty purse works best; along with a valid form of identification.
I always do walk in payments. This time of year (post tax season) a person needs to make an appointment by calling the 800 number posted on the door... that I don't have memorized.
Call the number. They give you an 854# to call to see what your local IRS office can do for you. I just called their 321 number and listened to their message for the purpose of answering these questions.
If you're filing single it was just a little over 10k in 2017. Not sure what 2018 is with the tax cuts. I believe it's a little higher. But for sure it was just over 10k if filing single in 2017. My son made just under that, he filed, not knowing. And did get $425 back.
If gou walk in they have it right there
You can file online using the 1040, 1040 E or a different 1040(?). Its a standard form depending on filing single, married, deductions etc. All you have to do is look it up. They don't file your taxes for you. You can use Turbo Tax for free if you're filing under standard deductions. Meaning you're not itemizing for medical bills or other major deductions. If you have major deductions or investments of such you should use a Certified Personal Account (CPA).
Appointments are required unless you’re just dropping off a payment or a curent year tax return 1040 series.
You can file them online for free at Turbo tax. You don't drop them off. You have to file online or a have a tax accountant or you mail them.in.
I remember seeing forms there when I went
