Got approved and was good until they wanted a minimum of $1,000 to hold the apartment for me which wouldn’t be ready for 3 weeks. I wanted to see the cleaned apartment after tenant moved out and management cleaned and painted before I paid that much. I asked if the $1,000 was refundable and was told ‘you saw the pictures I showed you on my computer’ never answering my question. The pictures I saw were not of the apartment I was getting just an apartment to show what they all look like. I also questioned if the units had central air and was told yes, I questioned the units with window shakers and was told they were temporary as the repairs were being made. The window shakers I saw certainly looked like they’ve been in place for awhile. I got a very uneasy feeling and decided I would not pay that much sight unseen and for a probably non refundable deposit. I just couldn’t see dropping a grand in a office mail slot without a lease or anything.

As expected it's not fancy but it's affordable, well maintained with good location near: shopping, restaurants and highways.

Good sized apartment at great location for better rent than worse places. Office is on site and responds to problems quickly. We reported issue with AC and got a temporary AC same day until permanent one was fixed. Previous posting probably misunderstood about needing to pay application fee without seeing apartments as the office manager doesn't speak very good English. We were able to see an apartment, we just had to make an appointment to a view because there weren't any vacancies.

I inquired about their apartment listed through hotpads, I received this as a response: “You can come into our office any time from 1-6 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and from 10-3 pm on Saturdays to view our apartment. However, we’ll show you the apartment AFTER you’ve filled out an application form for $50, which we would provide for you at our office at Carolwood Apartments.” $50.00 to look at an apartment I may or may not like?.. lol no thanks, after reading the reviews and receiving this red flag as a response I’m happy I dodged this shady place!
