very nice staff, excellent room. the surrounding area was sketchy and fellow guests were thoughtless, but breakfast was good too. i travelled for a week + and this was the nicest room i came across

Positive: We did not end up staying here because the room was visibly dirty and smelled of cigars. The manager would not open the door to the office for us to give him back our room keys and check out while we were outside in the freezing cold snow storm. Negative: The room was dirty, visible cigarette burns in the blankets and mattress. Room was dirty and bathroom falling apart. Ended up leaving after ten minutes does not look like room online and went to a hotel down the road instead. Absolutely horrible.

I was planning on staying there this past weekend because the last time I was very pleased. However I decided against it because the gentleman informed me there is a cash deposit of $50 that I will get back when I check out. I told him there wasn't a deposit the last time I stayed. He told me that the rules changed. He said I could pay for the room with my card but, the deposit had to be paid in cash. It was for any damages that might occur. He also told me where the two closest ATM were located. I felt that was really shady, so I went somewhere else. I thought that if any damages were to occur, the hotel would charge your card. I don't understand their logic?
