LA Fitness offer various packages that can fit your needs: Single Club Single State Multistate Guest priveleges (up to 2 guest) is 20/mth Kids Club Larger clubs have racquet ball, leagues, etc. Pool, steamroom, basketball courts and classes are not extra. There are always various promotions for memberships and sometime it comes down to timing. I travel alot so I do the multi-state plan. In Dec they had 2 year pre-pay at very good rates that I renewed onto.

I pay $30/month and can go to all locations. I think single location is $25. They might want to charge you $99 fee to join but be hard about it and walk out if they don't waive it. Caution: they are worse than car sales people and try to upsale you to all kinds of stuff. I walked out 2 times angry before 3rd time the manager gave me what i wanted: a simple membership. They really try make you feel bad during sales pitch.
