The CHPD are always very professional and helpful. Their job is often thankless and not easy. I appreciate all that they do to keep Chapel Hill safe. They are very well trained and operate at the highest ethical standards

This is Christina. I used my husband’s account. There were illegal parking along the road in front of Chapel hill library. They parked along the road and were NOT in the parking lot.My car tried to avoid those car and my car was half falling the edge of road which is under construction. It was dangerous. I called the police, the police officer refused to give the ticket to the illegal parking car. They said there was no “no parking” sign. However there are NOT a parking space. Another side is under construction. It is even hard to drive through for ONE car. Since the road is under construction, there is a big curve and edge. The police officer blamed there is No no parking sign. Another police tried to blame me to drive through this road, however the road is not closed at all. Many people drove this way. Another person approached to the police officer and told him there was similar incidents happened before, it is dangerous. It should NOT allow cars to park along the road. The library should have a no parking sign. However the police officer seems not care. As a resident of Chapel hill, I feel disappointed about the way how the police officers handled this incident. Neglected illegal parking.
