Great people run DLV.... staff members are very, very trained and professional in all respects. If you decline to use DLV vision, then you may do worse elsewhere.

I went to DLV Vision in Westlake yesterday and had RLE (Refractive Lens Exchange). For various reasons my glasses and contacts were not working for me any longer and I looked into fixing my eyes. Dr. Dougherty at DLV Vision was highly recommended and today I know why. It's the day after having my eye lenses replaced with corrective HD lenses and I can see amazingly better than I did with glasses or contacts. I chose monovision which worked for me before with my contact lenses and I knew I wouldn't have any problem with it. I'm still wearing sunglasses inside and out today to protect my new eyes, but I'm amazed at how well and clear I see already. Dr. Dougherty was wonderful before surgery at the office visit and especially wonderful during surgery. He's ready to explain everything again during surgery or nothing depending on your comfort level. I chose to lay there and let my mind go to it's happy place and let him do his thing. But he always had words of encouragement on how well everything was going. If he's happy then I'm happy. :) The staff was great at every level. They were thorough and ready to answer any questions. The whole process was quick and easy. I couldn't be happier or more satisfied with choosing to do RLE and Dr. Dougherty at DLV Vision.

I was at the Camarillo location where I experienced friendly staff, efficient, accommodating and professional.

Without surgically removing the cataract, most patients will continue to have blurred vision, which can lead to significant vision loss. Removing the cataract surgically is the only way to improve vision.
I had Lasik performed by Dr. D around 2008. I still do not need glasses. He performed mono vision on me and I couldn't be happier
Patients can typically return to work and resume normal activity the day after surgery. Exposing eyes to water from swimming pools, hot tubs, the ocean or intense perspiration should be avoided for 7 days following surgery. Dusty environments and eye makeup should be avoided for the first 48 hours following surgery.
