William (salesman) was the only reason I gave my business to Carmax. The managers were not helpful and caused a huge headache when they sold me a car then made me return it due to an error on their part. William helped me on his off days and kept the process of buying, returning and then buying again as smooth as he could. Update: Returned to Carmax to buy an suv. The salesman, Marc was great! He was not pushy and very helpful. We found the perfect vehicle and sat down to start the paperwork. We had the manager come assist as we had a little discrepancy on one of the forms. The manager that eventually made her way over (after waiting for her to stop joking around with other employees ) was Jamie. SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. She had zero customer service skills and was beyond disrespectful. She lost Marc a sale and I will never buy a vehicle from Carmax again because of her. She was rude and did not listen to the small issue we we’re trying to resolve. She blamed me for her company having a late delivery on the vehicle I was looking at. 5 stars for the salesmen I’ve dealt with but 0 for the management.

SELLER BEWARE - If the website promises you a price "range" for fair, good, and great conditions and then asks you to make an appointment to confirm you car's condition (mine was great), they will have you come in, give you the excuse right away they have to match market prices and then give you a low offer. I have no issue with what they want to pay, that is their right as a company. Basically, they are falsely advertising what they will pay for a car then have you come down, waste your day, and see if you are are either desperate enough or stupid enough to take their low offer. At best, its false advertising and lack of transparency. At worse, its predatory. At least BlackRock was paying top dollar when they were eroding the housing market. It seems CarMax is just going to prey on desperate or foolish people at rock bottom prices. If you have a day to kill and don't mind people lying to you, then roll the dice. Best of luck!

Great professionalism of the staff, took their time to go through different vehicles and never rushed me on any decision making.

They give good prices on your cars

CarMax will buy your car no matter if you buy one of them. If you have a credit with the company, you must respect it in any CarMax. They are very friendly and helpful. I'm sorry if this is hard to understand, I used the Google translator. The best of luck to you!
I've been there, they don't seem dishonest to me, give em a try.
You could try your luck at a dealership I went to carmax they offered me 600 on a my car the dealership gave me 1200 and I got a used 2016 big born with some haggling
Depends on the make, model and year of car, your credit score, your down payment amount, and whether you buy the car in the same state you live in.
Best way to do it, is get your estimate online then they schedule you usually same day to come in and confirm the estimate.
Very Good !
I would go to the aution if i were you because 4 grand is a down payment at the dealer but at auction you can own it just my thoughts.
GAP was available when I inquired.
I had pretty bad credit and got a car. You may have a hefty down payment and high payments.
The only thing you can haggle over is a free oil change
No they aren't. You can only buy certified pre-owned vehicles from that brand dealer. Meaning an Acura certified pre-owned can only be bought from an Acura dealer. What they do sell are certified CarMax vehicles and they provide an excellent extended warranty that I highly recommend getting. I got one that covers everything up to 125k miles of my vehicle.
1 week. There are some exceptions if you have serious intent and you talk to managers
Not only will they gladly take trade-ins, but they'll take it even if you dony buy from them. Carmax also gives fair no haggle value for your used vehicle regardless of whether or not you buy a car from them. Also, remember that their lot has hundreds of vehicles that are open door. You can just walk on the lot and start sitting in their cars hassle free! Hope that helps, and enjoy the experince
Yes as long as it is not expired and is valid
