This facility is by far one of the best Rehabs and LTC facilities in this area. The cleanliness of the facility is immaculate. The staff here is wonderful with the residents and always so kind and helpful. I would recommend this facility for any rehab or LTC residents!!!

My mother contacted covid19 while in this facility. I wanted to take my mother out of this facility, but was assured that her being there was the safest place to be. I witnessed several people going in and out without masks, I contacted the manager and was told he would look into it The office knows nothing about how power of attorney works, I wanted to point that out. When I went to see my mother Dec 25 at the window, she was sick I'm sure with covid and no one had checked her! I guess everyone was off at home for Christmas .She was taken into the Covid unit Dec28 I received not one call from the Doc on how she was They didn't give her any of the new drugs available to help. I have video of a conversation ,Mom was setting in the hall on Jan 1st asking for food, saying she was hungry! while music blared in the background! if I can get it to load I will post it. I called and ask how she was doing, I was told she was eating so I brought her snacks and her fav foods. I called to talk to her on Jan 7 and was told she was asleep, but she had been up eating. On Jan 8 I was told she was passing away! I went into the covid unit to see her, She was skin and bones!! maybe 60 pounds! all her snacks that I had brought her was setting on a table in her room! She was in so much pain dehydrated her legs was drawn up to her. One of the nurses pulled her leg out to look at her foot my Mom screamed in pain! I can only imagine what they had been putting her through! and being starved to death is a fate unimaginable! The Doctor and Nurses that was Covid unit that treated my mom Lied and are still there! Using Covid as an excuse. What happens if we have another emergency! Why did they not take better care! Please if you can Get your loved one safe in your home do so or look for another home. I felt I had to post this. We all have to look out for our elderly. I will also add there are qualified Nurses and aids that work at this facility. I have had the pleasure meeting, sadly none was with my Mother. Lets Hope that what I have heard is true, that in fact they are receiving training.

I’ve worked at heritage hall in Blacksburg for almost 6 years and I absolutely love working here. Very friendly staff and great management!! There is team work all throughout the building. My personal opinion, This is a wonderful place to work!

I've worked at Heritage Hall for almost 3 years. From being a Nurse Unit Manager, to being on the Covid Unit, I've never had the privilege of working with more dedicated, caring and compassionate staff. It's hard in healthcare every where right now, but all the employees here still keep there compassion and work together. I've seen some negative reviews, but have never seen personally what they claim. I love this building and all those in it. I plan on retiring from here!
