I believe so. During hunting season and u register for ur tags/permit to hunt. They have an outpost with signs and pamphlets with all info. U can get ur permits online also. At fish and wildlife area wolfsen rd los banos ca. Google that and it'll give u the right link.

Great place for a hike. Especially the area around Parking Lot 1. Tons of waterfowl. I've also seen a bald eagle in the fields near parking lot 7. I'm guessing it's wet from the recent weather so if you prefer pair of sneakers, make it not your best pair.

Opens for fishing, nature study, dog trials, and walking typically the second weekend in February until September.
