I have spent hours over several days trying to reach ANYONE in the X-ray department. I need to come in for post surgery films. I understand there are no appointments. While I can drive there, I am not fully ambulatory and cannot walk that distance to X-ray. I need someone to provide and assist me with a wheelchair to and from parking to X-ray. It seems UNBELIEVABLE that I cannot reach someone to assist a disabled patient. It seems UNBELIEVABLE that there are no prompts to ask for help. Is this really a HEALTHCARE provider that has forgotten disabled patients? It appears To be true! *UPDATE: The phone number provided by the Social Media Team was ALSO unable to reach ANYONE in the X-ray dept. after trying MANY different avenues. They were kind and apologetic but equally frustrated that there is no way to get help. Maybe Sac Bee would like a human interest story on how Sutter turns a blind eye to disabled. I was able to connect with the Dept. Of Justice ADA and will be completing their complaint process regarding Sutter’s inability to provide assistance at this location. It is NOT the patient’s responsibility to HUNT DOWN HELP. A public number should be available to all. Sutter Social Media likes to make Sutter’s corporate problem, an individual patient’s problem. Failure to take ownership!

I called and connected four times. A crafty lady named (Brandy - Medical Reports Dept) attended and right after hearing my name, said, “I can’t hear and you and cut the line”. While in between, I contacted my primary physician and the office of the Dr. I was referred to, nothing wrong. This white nationalist and supremest lady discriminated me (perhaps because of my name and religion), and put stain to the clean image of Sutter imaging. I hope someone takes care of her.

I personally have mixed feelings because I’ve been going to Sutter since I was eight so I just want to stay happy with them. They’re one of the cleanest and one of the best hospitals for the most part. However I was highly disappointed with my visit today. I went in for an ultrasound due to pelvic pain and was never informed that I was going to be probed. My body is pretty sore right now so it would’ve been nice to have known that before hand as I would’ve rescheduled. I went in thinking they were only going to do a scan of my stomach I didn’t know that there was going to be extras inserted into me. Also it pisses me off because I feel like lately every time I go, there’s an intern either observing or practicing. Today I went in and saw Christine who was a student and Christina was watching and it even seemed like Christina was getting annoyed at how long it was taking for this woman to keep rotating the stick around in my vagina. Like I like helping people and making sure that people get to learn but also not at the expense of being surprised or when things are being shoved in me. There’s are things people should be informed about before their visit in my opinion.
