Hi There! So I worked for this preschool for 5 days, May 2, 2022 - May 6, 2022. Day 1 & 2 were training, Day 3 I was with kids and I saw some terrible teaching and childcare practices that were mentally and emotionally abusive; yelling, bullying, favoritism, shaming, illogical consequences, unfair consequences for age and behavior, prejudice, misdiagnosis/uneducated diagnoses, inappropriate scolding. I didn't like what I saw but I reported it immediately to hr, hoping they would allow me to improve and retrain their staff. Day 4, An internal investigation has started, I am told to report any more abuse to my direct supervisor, Mr. Leo who I named as one of the major problem areas. Also on Day 4 I saw Mr. Leo use excess force and authoritarianism to harshly and abruptly yank a child without warning, the child is 3 years old, very petite. Mr. Rio, the head of the entire Alhambra Citadel interviewed Mr. Leo and as Mr. Leo said, he hasn't seen any abuse...so according to the Salvation Army that settles that and I should again, report any future abuse to my direct supervisor, Mr. Leo. Day 5, I call CPS, Sac PD, licensing, and as many parents as I can before my shift. I am a mandated reporter. I speak with a salvation army husband and wife team who are heading the internal investigation, (also very strange usually married individuals do need to work in different departments not side by side) they conclude my interview by saying, I am being put on unpaid leave and am banned from the campus, while every single poorly or never trained and thus, abusive employees, plus Mr. Leo who actually used inappropriate and unwarranted and unacceptable force to move a child. I highly advice people to stay away from this "school" if you can even call it that, the education program is the same YouTube video everyday. I thought when I was hired with my 17 years of teaching experience, my masters in teaching, and my two bachelors, I was going to be taken seriously since they were so excited and grateful to have me. I am indeed sorry I witnessed what I did, I am most sorry for the angels in the Bumblebee Class, they were all so sweet and took direction and encouragement really well. They were so loving and I saw improvement in everyone's behavior, even the staff by Day 5. Please do not trust this facility, please do not trust the Salvation Army, my experience as an employee doesn't belong on this post but please trust me, the sheer fact that they only put me on unpaid leave and left every person I named on campus with kids...very strange and atypical for reporting abuse. Thank you for reading and please keep your children safe!

The Salvation Army 2550 Alhambra, is not a store. Its actually one of the main offices here in Sacramento. As far as I know they only take Appclation's for people looking to be a bell ringer with the red buckets that they provide, plus there's an children's school there, and a church I do believe. All I can say is go ask them during their normal business hours; M-F 9:00 am through 4:00 pm. Closed Sat. & Sun.
This is the Sacramento location and we do no have a pool.
Not at this location, you need to go through the Family Services.
