I've been taking my animals to various VCA's in the greater Sacramento area for YEARS and this is by far the best one. I had a bad experience at the last one I went to where they shamed me and made me feel stupid on multiple different occasions for health check up visits and sick visits, i.e. "How could you not notice this?". I do pride myself on being a good fur mom so being treated like I wasn't was very discouraging. I don't feel that way at all with this VCA clinic. I had a silly mistake recently where I thought my dog was sick when it turned out she was totally fine but the doctor still treated it as if there was something wrong. He also stayed longer than he probably should've to make sure all of my questions were answered which he didn't have to do. Not to even mention, it almost feels like a small community because the doctor recognized that I had just brought my two kittens in the week before and asked how they were doing. Personal touches like that are things that I really appreciate from a customer service standpoint. I don't feel like it's just an assembly line because it seems like they do try to get to know the animals that are brought in. All of the vet techs, doctors, and front desk staff I have spoken with have been very professional, kind, and you can tell that they genuinely care about you and your pets health. I have always experienced quick and efficient service with the appt time starting on time and not lasting longer than an hour. They have also been able to accommodate appointment times for when I get off of work! I definitely understand that VCA isn't the most affordable vet in the area but I've always stood by the motto that "You get what you pay for." and this VCA is worth every penny!

The absolute worse vet you could take your animal to. They misdiagnosed my dog for 2 years , having us give him medicine he didn’t need and having us worry sick about his health. Our dog was only a pup by the way, this being his first vet . From him having kidney failure to a heart murmur , to them thinking he had a torn acl at 5 months old. They sent all of this to our pet insurance, so now if any of that stuff were to come up when he gets older he would not be covered. My wife and I were really hesitant on if he may have all those things, so we got a second opinion. Come to find out we have a very healthy dog with non of the problems they listed to us. They are ridiculous and only care about your money and will use your pets health to try and milk you dry. Writing this so no one else has to waste years of their life believing in such a terrible “Vet Clinic”

These folks take good care of our 3 cats and 1 dog. There are two treatments they have provided stand out to me that I've written about below. Our pitbull Leah is a senior who had pretty bad teeth. She had 1 abscessed tooth, another broken tooth in jeopardy of becoming abscessed, overgrown plaque and some sort of benign tumor growing on her neck that was getting irritated from her collar rubbing on it. To take care of the deep cleaning, pulling 2 teeth and removing the tumor, including general anesthesia was $1153. The vet was absolutely awesome and clearly loved our dog. For 6 years our cat Haley has caused our household many frustrations. She's peed everywhere in the house, including our bed and couches. At times, she attacked the other cats without provocation and isolated under the bed and came out only to eat. She was severely obese. I tried rationing her food but she ate the other cats' food and the dog's food. After consulting with her vet at VCA, there's nothing wrong medically, except her obesity. I asked if she could be dealing with a cat version of Depressive Disorder to which the vet thought yes, so she prescribed Prozac. Three months in and Haley is more social, less aggressive, has lost 3 pounds so far (she's no longer binging on everyone's food and only eating out of her own bowl) and has had only one peeing incident. So if you have a cat like Haley, think about their mental health because it's real in cats too. We pay only $51 for a three month supply of generic Prozac and worth every penny. We put 1/2 a 10 mg pill into a salmon pill pocket twice a day and she loves it like a treat. We tried a full pill at once but she spits it out. As of August 2021, prices were: dog and cat well visits $74 heartworm test $65.55 Heartgard Plus K9 L 51-100lb/23-45kg 6Pk $71 Revolution + Feline 11.1-22lb/5.1-10kg Green 6pk $115 Beware inflation when looking at these prices
