The playground looks new and clean. 3 play areas are separated but close to each other and close to the covered BBQ area. We can sit under the shade and watch kids play very well. Restrooms are close by.

Nice park with 2 play areas one for big kids and one for under 5. A basketball court and baseball field. Lots of shade for parties and events.

Zero chances. But there's plenty of shaded areas from the baseball field, walk path, to sand pit that should give you a cool area for your picnic.
You may need to ask the park folks about lighting for baseball. The park closes at dusk so I doubt it is lit well after. Don't remember seeing lights around the hoops.
