Easy accessing American River, bicycle and walking trails. Can get very busy during river rafting season. Easy portage for carrying water toys. No trailer boat access.

They close the gate at sundown and move everyone out.
It is open dawn to dusk. It is not a rest stop. It is an access point to the American River Parkway and the river.
