They really do care that each and every cat is place in a compatible home/family.

Lovely atmosphere and people, taking care of cats or of sincere live for the little ones. The cats are lovely and playful. The entertainment was also great!

The Dancing Cat does not have purebred cats for adoptions.
Volunteer opportunities are available on the website: https://www.thedancingcat.org/volunteer
Kittens are placed in foster homes so you can't see them at the cafe but there may be kittens you can adopt through the Dancing Cat depending on the time of the year.
Cats are quite territorial and do not socialize the way kids do, most of cats wouldn't enjoy a play date. It usually takes some time to do a proper introduction between cats. And, even if someone was willing to do such a playdate, all cats need to be up to all necessary vaccinations and cleared up medically. You can always enrich your cat's life by adding a cat tree by the window, put a bird feeder outside, get some cat puzzles, especially helpful if you could not spend lots of time at home. Another idea to teach your cat walking on a leas, so his life will get more interaction.
Unfortunately The Dancing Cat is not able to take cats in from the public. Our mission is to rescue cats from the San Jose Animal Care Center as these cats do not have people who can advocate for them. If your friend takes the cat to the shelter, please contact us so that we can go to assess her. More information is on our website here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/resources
Children 2 and under can visit the kitties at no charge.
The Dancing Cat does not take in stray cats. If you need to find a home for a stray cat, there is advice on the website including links to all shelters in the South Bay. https://www.thedancingcat.org/resources

Take a adult with you. Best option.
You don't have to but I recommend you do because one time I didn't and I went there and I found out someone reserved the day for a birthday :/ and fee is usually $10 per person but if you're a student then its $7 and I think kids are free (???I don't remember?? lol)
Absolutely! No adoption necessary to visit. It's a great place to just hang out.
The Dancing Cat is located in a residential neighborhood, so as long as you can find street parking you can park in front of any house. There are no permit restrictions.
You come and walk around or lounge on the couch, let cats approach you, some might be on a shy side, others are outgoing. Usually there is a volunteer to answer any questions you might have. Check their events calendar - they have awesome educational programs.
