I always love a trip to joannn's but I must admit when your favorite yarn is almost non existent it's a sad day. Everyone was nice, the store was well organized, just a lot of empty yarn bins

The prices range from $9.99 to $16.99. Look for sales and doorbusters, especially with the holidays. Many fleece fabric brands are on sale for 50 to 70% off. Use the Joann app for even more savings. I was there yesterday to purchase fleece for Project Linus and was able to use a 20% coupon from the app in addition to the 50% saving i received from the sale.
