My dog loved this place but got ticks from this field - she was not on any flea and tick meds due to recent surgery. I found 5 ticks on her the next day. She got a tick borne illness, her back legs became paralyzed and her platelets were incredibly low. We had to put her down due to the risk she would spontaneously bleed from everywhere at any time. I didn’t know there were ticks that carry illnesses around here but there has been a huge increase in cases in the past few years. I know she got then from the San Lot so please check yourselves and pets for ticks. I still love this place but just want to warn others about the ticks.
