Nothing pleasent to say about this place. From the moment I went on the website to view all these beautiful looking cars design desirable cars to want to rent on me to find out that they have none nothing at the store of course they're filthy they stink they're dirty they're they have money issues so they conduct their business in the desperate fashion to false advertise to charging and blame you for damages on cars that were there when you rented the carput together with different car parts like you see in a junkyard customer service skills are not even applicable at all they're rude have no idea what's going on conduct yourself like hoodlums and crooks and can't even speak the language of the country that they're living in and terrific I don't recommend it for anybody I guarantee you will not be satisfied

Renting from them has been the absolute worst experience possible. They send you out in faulty equipment with stuff not working or broken on it then when you say something all they do is pass the buck and blame everyone else even though it was their mechanic sending out the bare treadless spare tire and non working gauges on the vehicle. Then after getting the run around for an hour some lady comes out and says to leave or they will call the cops and some feeble old man comes out trying to threaten and fight you. This place is a joke stay away.

We rented an RV from this place and it was the WORST experience ever. The front tire on it blew out, none of the gages worked so we never know how much water or propane we had and the owners refused to acknowledge that it was their responsibility even though they admitted that it was their mechanics who work on it. When the tow truck driver came to repair the issue he couldn't put the spare on because it was bald! The lady's who work there are very rude and I will never go back. They ruined my vacation!

Smiths car rental also rents uhaul. I have never rented from them, however, they fraudulently used my uhaul account to rent to an unknown customer. The customer paid with their own cc so no charges to me though if the rental unit were damaged or stolen I would have to manage the the issue. They did not verify the user thru ID check or they just didn't care. Be careful!! Be aware!!

There are two ways to contact Smith’s Rent-A-Car customer service department: through our contact form or by phone at 888-778-0656 (toll free) or at 707-584-7900 (locally).
Our long-term plan requires a minimum rental commitment of three months to qualify for the low rate. The low rate does include collision damage insurance with a $1,000 deductible. However, the renter must have a personal liability policy in place during the rental period. Each month is based on a 28-day rental period. Payment of one month’s rent must be made in full at the time of pickup. A deposit amount equal to one month’s rent will also be collected at this time. This deposit amount shall be applied as a credit to your third month. Premature termination of this agreement will result in a substantial rate increase. Other restrictions may apply.
We’re one of the few agencies that allow you to rent a car with cash. We require proof of local (Sonoma County, California) residence in the form of a utility bill (PG&E or phone bill). These documents must be presented at the counter when you’re renting. The name and address must exactly match those on your driver’s license. A deposit amount of $200 is required if you’re paying with cash or with a debit card and is refundable once you return the vehicle. We also run a check on your driver’s license; you will need to pay six dollars to cover that cost.
