I spoke with gvar on January 4th, 2022 and informed them that I was changing mls associations. I requested a letter of good standing that was required by the new association which I received. I paid my new dues with my new association on January 10th, 2022. Yesterday on February 10th, 2022 I received an email from my real estate office that I was dropped as a realtor because gvar (greater antelope valley association of realtors) in Palmdale listed me in bad standing for not paying my association dues with them. I called gvar this morning and was told they had no idea that I was switching mls offices and that my new association did not notify them. Clearly per our conversation on January 4th I informed you of the switch and in the letter of good standing it clearly states to send it to the new association. I was also told that gvar didn’t bother to change my account status to MLS ONLY is because “people call all the time and say they are switching and don’t switch at all and end up not paying any fees.” Really??? Completely out of line and unprofessional! This definitely should be a violation of some sort! On top of everything else the woman I spoke with at gvar had a very nasty attitude and really rude! I strongly believe I’ve received this treatment because I am African American! I was treated like trash just now and honestly very disturbed by all of what has happened in the last 24 hours! A complete overlook on gvar’s end that I am now paying for! BEWARE OF GVAR NAD THEIR TREATMENT TO AFRICAN AMERICANS.
