I’ve been on hold w the 800# they tell you to call for 2 and a half hours and am still on hold. There was 8 callers ahead of me now there’s zero for almost an hour this is rediculous….I’ve been trying to report my new job and phone number for a week now and the worker won’t call me back 🤦🏾♀️

Says they're "closed" when you call but they don't close till FIVE m-f. ITS THREE PM. Some of us work 5am shifts. 🤨😑😒

No one is there. No one called back, they are liars. Who is the Supervisor? Been reading all comments and it’s time to report these people.

They do help, it’s 85$ a night they help with for 15 days. And then they offer to help pay last and deposit if you end up finding a apt! And they also refer you to cset! Cset pays first last deposit & second deposit if someone approves you! I used there assistance & it helped me soooo much, I couldn’t be more grateful. Now I’m in a 2 bd apartment because they helped me so much. They also help with turning on utilities. But make sure you use the help wisely cause it’s only once a year.
yeah they are accepting walk-ins again as of my writing this. Normal hours.
Dont have a current example reference. A year ago it took about an hour of bad hold music, then a worker will come on that will hack through red tape like a beast and seriously make things jump forward. They don't hold you an hour+ just to say something pointless. If you ever find that happening its because your not understanding something adequately and you should go into the office and wait for help in person.
No. You get your cash aid either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd. It depends on what is the last number on your case number.
Yes but only if you qualify for cash aide. If you do not qualify for cash aide they cannot help. Even if you are homeless.
I think you would need his social security card, birth certificate & proof of temp custody papers.
you probably didn't turn in your annual report. You gotta turn in a packet every six months or so letting them know if anything has changed. How your finances are etc. If you fail to then your benefits stop accruing until you fix the situation. If you put it off too.long you have to reapply. That's the most likely reason for benefits to just not show up at all. Mske sure they have your address if you don't have one then you gotta remember to turn in report twice a year. Its easy to forget sometimes, iv done it myself a few times
They're phone service is inaccurate. They are usually open. If you stay on the line until it connects to a department and a person you can confirm that they are open.
Yes you can apply but it's not instant or immediate it is a process and service that local government or non profit foundations happen to provide . It involves a case worker having to evaluate your level of qualifying factors then must be approved by either one or more officials. My best advice seeing that you currently have internet acess is to seek out the proper channels for the "voucher program" but also for immediate housing search the local female shelters I believe if memory serves one is located off Ben Maddox and Lovers Lane. Also a additive to beginning with a local shelters is they have direct info to the programs that can provide acceptance in a much more efficient way. Best of luck to you i hope I could help!!!!
I'm not sure they do dna tests here bud. In fact fairly sure they dont.
5 months ago they were all wacky from covid it made things a little inconsistent here and there. They are operating normally again, and mr butler couldn't be more wrong, likely he is frustrated and projecting it mistakenly. Keep in mind these workers are dealing with a Neverending grind of people requesting charity, many of them ungrateful, rude, and with an exaggerated sense of entitlement. If you treat them with the same respect they treat you, and even throw in a hint of appreciation, they will help you navigate the system as efficiently as can be done.
Closed on federal holidays, same ones as the post office is i believe. And yes currently open to the public to walk in applicants
I mailed in some paperwork and it was recieved. So you possibly can do the same.
EBT, Calfresh benefits are at Calwin .com
No wait right now super slow
No, never had that experience. But if you have your case receipt number; the county should be able trace what happened.
yes they definitely would. At least foodstamps and medi-cal i would expect. Likely wic as well at some point. Talk to a worker if ever in their situation.
Yes you can. You may come in to our office located at 1845 N Dinuba BLVD. Or, you may apply on our website mybenefitscalwin.org. we're open Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm.
Yes please call them and tell them to transfer your case or come in to office we can also request for you. No interruptions though
Depends on the exact details, speak with a worker in person they can best check the numbers for you.
