My laptop needed repair. The technician was quite helpful. Usually BB requires an appointment to be serviced. However the technician assisted me anyway. My laptop needed additional service, so it needed to be shipped to their service center in Kentucky. I received an email the following week of the problem, so hopefully it will only be a few more days for my laptop to be returned. The only challenge I have with BB is when you use the "Geek Squad" the appointment app doesn't always work. I can show up after receiving confirmation of my appointment, but BB's computer doesn't show it. However the store will usually honor the appointment.

I never understood why people said Best Buy's customer service was bad. Now I know. Waited for two hours for curbside pickup only for the store to close and had to come back the next day. They never answer their phones. Return policy is concrete, even if the item is unopened, with a receipt, and proof of illness

The tall black young man in phone/camera department provided great customer service. If you're not careful, you'll buy everything he suggests! Side note, BestBuy should consider training every employee for all departments. It sucks asking for help, then being told over and over "I don't work in that department".

I would return it and then re-buy it on sale! If you tell the manager first he or she may just give you the difference immediately. Good luck!
