Outdated, poor management, no customer service Our experience happened in June 2022, let’s hope the management has taken action since then. In a nutshell, almost 3 months after our visit, I still haven’t received any refund promised for the downgrade of room we had during our stay. I do not recommend this place Our story: We were guests at the Sunset Tower hotel in Los Angeles on June 12th and June 13th until Tuesday 14th in the morning. Our booking agent has been in touch with someone called Erin by phone since the issues we have met but did not receive any news unfortunately. 30 minutes check in at 11 pm 2 out of 3 cards did not work to open the room We’ve been asked to remember our room number instead of writing them down on the room key envelope. Who does this? Downgraded room for one of us One of our room was very tiny and clearly not the superior room we had booked and paid for. Some dry paint had fallen on the floor and the smell was not nice. Unable to find another room for our colleague, we decided to stay and find a solution the next morning. Wake up call at 4 am (not requested) At 4 am, I received a wake up call and the person on the phone said: “Sorry sir, wrong room number”. Seriously? The next day our colleague was moved to a proper room and we agreed with the frontdesk manager that we would not pay for the first night for Marie’s room only. Refund not received until now (26 AUG 2022) The same day the front desk called me to ask for my credit card as it was not registered properly in the system when we checked in… I have been charged 3592.26 EUR for 3 rooms for 2 nights through our booking agent (Visa Infinite Concierge service) but I have not received any refund or excuse for what happened. Cockroach in the dining room We have seen a cockroach near the bar on the last day, you can see it on the picture. You can imagine how bad the experience has been. Noisy room Rooms are outdated with an air conditioning system from the 80’s very noisy even when you turn it off.

Tower Bar is great for dinner, we were in and out in 45 minutes & paying over $400 USD. Dizzy servicing & price point to make your stomach weak was what we expected, so was not disappointed. Food was very good, so made it passable !

I hate having to write this. 1. Booked car service via hotel from LAX to hotel. Car didn’t show. Waited 30 minutes at baggage claim before walking to a different terminal to get an Uber. 2. Had Amex call to confirm I could get a quiet room. On arrival, they upgraded me to a very noisy room. I highlighted my request, and they said all they had was a tiny room that was a downgrade from what I reserved. In fairness, the next day they upgraded me to make up for #1, but then 3. I sent a $2000 garment to be dry cleaned and it was ruined. Balls of fabric bunched up everywhere. They claimed they would take care of it, but now they are doing all the CYA stuff of blaming the dry cleaner, shaving off the balls of fabric and claiming that’s acceptable, etc. First it would be resolved by the time I checked out. Then by end of business that day. Then the next day, then the next. Then, the manager sent me an email that they would send me either a replacement garment or a check for its value via FedEx. Then he ghosted me. I followed up twice. When it goes bad here, it goes really bad, and they don’t care about their customers at all. I am moving my business to the Pendry and suggest you do the same thing.

Perfect location in the middle of West Hollywood a nice stroll from the Château Margot restaurant . Nice hotel with the pool overlooking LA. I have all nice memories about this place. At nights the rooftop night-club attracts large crowds of youngsters, and the hall can get a bit crowded but there is no noise throughout the hotel even on the adjoining floors where we stayed. Not sure if they still do it but they had this cinema under the stars nights….dreamy and magical. I understand not giving much info here, and will dig up some pics and post them, but it’s a place not to be missed if you can, even just the by the pool restaurant or the nightclub.
