Dr Raja is an amazing doctor, but the staffs, front desk are horrible. & if you are trying to get a hold of the office, Goodluck! They will leave you on hold for so long and then hang up repeatedly.

I found Dr. Raja from my own research. He was the only endocrine doc I could find in the area that was board certified in endo, that has FACE behind his name and with many years experience. He also covers endocrinology at both hospitals which is helpful if you ever get admitted.

One of the worst doctors I've been to. He repeatedly called me, an adult woman, "dear"?? The entire appointment, both times. He barely listened to my symptoms during the initial appointment (I gave him a really brief overview bc he seemed in a rush), before telling me to get bloodwork and questioning all my previous diagnoses. I went back a month or so later and he spent about five minutes in the room with me, told me I was perfectly fine and "just having anxiety" (I have literally passed out and been throwing up regularly) and that if I could "learn to calm down" I might feel better. He made me question my own physical symptoms for months by refusing even to hear me. I thought maybe I was crazy but I'm still puking in spite of "trying to calm down", so. Great job. Excellent work. I will never, ever go back. You could not pay me to set foot in his office again. He also only schedules on the hour, but will schedule multiple patients. For example, he'll schedule 10 patients to ALL arrive at 4pm, and then whoever happens to get there last ends up waiting until 5-5:30 to be seen. I confirmed with other patients in the waiting room that he does this. We were all scheduled at the same appt. time. It regularly took him an hour plus to see people and it's awful. Patient time is as valuable as doctor's.

I think it will depend on the individual conditions or reasons. For me, he does a Free T4 and TSH every 6 months. I'm not a doctor but I don't think a Free T3 is necessary.
