It was our first time here and were we blown away by our experience. Our server, Emma, was so sweet and attentive. Her recommendations for cocktails were so spot on. There were so many delicious options that we honestly found it hard to choose. My salmon was really well cooked and not too well done and the braised short rib was so tender. You can tell everything from the gravy until the desserts were fresh. This was my first time eating poutine and I can’t believe I was missing out for this long. If you’re looking for a more casual date night and you want good food with reasonable portion sizes, give this place a shot. This is definitely in my top 10 date night spots in ATL by far!

My wife saw a review for The General Muir, and decided she'd like to check out out. We didn't have any particular expectations beyond a "decent sandwich shop," and were most happily surprised. Any time I see a house-special French Toast, I can't help trying it. The Pecan Crusted French Toast alone was worth the trip. A Cubano rounded my meal out perfectly. My wife, meanwhile, was very happy with her Fish & Potatoes, although you might want to order a side or two with that one. Their Bloody Mary, on the other hand, is remarkably generous, and delicious. We can't wait to come back, but REMEMBER: if you're coming by just for the food, ask to get your parking validated before you leave! "Two hours free with validation."

It’s hard for me to order anything other than the chicken salad (the best ever) but everything else I’ve tried is so fresh and flavorful. Great dining experience! Pictured below: chicken salad plate & pecan-crusted French toast

Lovely experience. Lives up to its hype. We came in at 5 pm on sat Feb 5th and sat at the bar. Erin was our host, server and comedian. She was great. We had 2 sandwiches with covered fries and desert. Will recommend. Thanks

Strong covid practices and social distancing. There are markers to alert staff when you need service
It is not kosher; it is still Jewish. I, one of the owners, am one of the many Jews who do not keep kosher.
We do not take lunch reservations through Open Table, but I’ll gladly put you in touch with a manager to discuss your lunch visit. You can reach out to pamela[dot]thegeneralmuir[at]gmail[dot]com. Thank you!
I imagine the menus wail probably be identical, or at least very similar.
No, I'm sorry.
I don't think so. I'm not sure; I've never seen dogs in when I've been there.
Tongue? Not that I'm aware of.
Yes but be prepared to wait if you don't show up early
We are not set up to prepare those items for takeout by the pound “on the fly” but instead request an order in advance (generally 24 hours depending on size) to prepare your order. Please see the Catering section of our website, thegeneralmuir.com. Thanks!
Purportedly a fish specialty alongside killer pastrami hash, which is ok if u like hash.
Usually no, but during the holiday season you might want to call ahead.
The General Muir does not have a kosher kitchen. Their rye is outstanding, nonetheless.
