I work for this company for 10 months by Dr manager would insult me once a day I don't understand what is wrong with them I was a good driver and I was never late I did the best that I could a some reason they decided to fire me when I decided I wanted to quit. So I guess they decided that they wanted to break up with me first before I can break up with them?

Great company to start with. Pretty reliable company for long term as well. Other places offer more money but May is steady, maintains their fleet responsibly and are overall green people

May Trucking Company calculates the miles driven through a Program Called Road McNally ZIP Code to ZIP Code. Meaning if the address to address is 821 miles but from zip code to zip code is 782 miles you lose out on miles driven when loaded. The first month of 2022 I did not get compensated for over 400 miles driven when loaded. MTC chooses not to pay hub miles or all miles paid. Which is making the CEO and its investors way more money. I calculated that I am losing $200 right out of my pocket. It’s a great first company if you’re a very new driver or if you need a second chance. I definitely will not be working here more than two years. On the plus side you do get your own truck. Nowhere in the handbook or any of the paperwork that I signed stated that I’d be compensated from ZIP Code to ZIP Code if I knew this from the beginning I would’ve started with a different company that is more transparent.

Even me a short time driver who was able to solo out of "what they called ORIENTATION" after 3 days of sitting around fantazising about how much money we were going to make or have us back into a so called imaginary dock in the middle of a gravel parking lot with cones as obsticales. Then take us all out for a "FREE" lunch at Izzy's....Or if you happen to have a Felony "NO PROBLEM" they will hire fellons,thieves, drug dealers and if you happen to have a troubled past. come on in an get your truck or your cell on wheels so if you just got out of prison and need a job right away .. get on your way and...call MAY!!!! I Had a GREAT TIME WORKING THERE (Yeah Right) well sort of 2 out of the 150 people I met as eitherr drivers or in upper managment really acted like they knew what they were doing and obviosly were either brainwashed or drugged to have decided to work there. ..... My BEEF with MAY TRUCKING COMPANY IS >>>>> I wish they could just be honest with me ... I have been honest in every way with them... But it really comes down ti I just wish I could get paid!!!! They continued to misplaced my first check until 3 1/2 weeks later.. After a Month of being told How much per mile I was making they issued a check that was on a Gaurenteed Daily pay (not what I signed on or up for) .Then my final pay check now EXACTLY 1 MONTH LATER... STILL NO PAY!!! What kinda "Fly by night, cheap'o place is this really?" Think about it... Can you really TRUST a carrier hauling your VALUABLES that can't even pay there drivers on time, or even the amount promist at hiring time? I was told by a MAY employed recruter I would get a $500 sign on bonus and because I was an "EXPERIENCED DRIVER" I would be starting out at .36 per mile with A FUEL BONUS. HA --- BULLS%78T!!! They paid me at $115 per day Not the .36 as promissed (I drove long haul solo 53' refer division all 48 states. I tried to get my 600 miles per day some days a little more some a bit less.. Do the math ---Alot more $$ at .36 then at $115... Then working in the winter with temps freezing or below such as North Dakota -30 (after wind chill) , you cannot turn your Diesel Fueled Tractor off or the fuel will freeze (GEL UP). So I Kept mine running and they charged me for the fuel "IDLING!!!!!" What???? I am protecting there investment as well as Im not freezing to death!!! Cheapo's still cant give me an honest answer were my check is.. Meanwhile when I was on the eastcoast in Bethlahem, PA just before Christmas, My wife at home alone, freezing temps with snow and ice in Kelso, Wa. our house heater went out. Could MAY TRUCKING GIVE ME MY PAY so my wife could get the furnace repaired??? NOPE...,. and CHRISTMAS $$$$ ??? HA... keep dreaming .... nope ... I no longer work for may and also have yet to rieceve my final paycheck. Now.... If they will do this to an Employee ,What do you think they would do to a customer? They call you a Valued Customer?? Huh ..... THINK AGAIN>>> I was once a valued employee!!!!
