Honestly the prosecutors are awful. There’s no good pleas. Why is anyone having to do jail time or being threatened with it for TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS. I’m sorry does Lawrence just like putting people in jail? The cops and the court system are awful here even worse than Florida where I came from. And the only person of color they have working here is the interpreter. Just a bunch of old white people determining your future as per usual.

Do not get your fingerprints taken here, instead go to the Sheriff's Office down the street where the service is free. The Municiple Court is inept and irresponsible because they do not give you a tracking number for your fingerprints, and they do not warn you that you will not get back your fingerprints or that you must prepay for tracking via USPS. They only tell you to bring an envelope with four stamps on it. Should you not prepay for tracking at USPS (because you're under the assumption either they will provide you with such tracking or you will mail it yourself) your fingerprints are essentially lost, and the Municipal Court will refuse to take responsibility and refuse to help you.
