We had plans over the Labor Day weekend. We arrived on Friday afternoon to be greeted by so many bugs that as soon as you opened your doors on truck and camper it was full of what I guess to be midges. The sites have no shade for being at a lake you can not even see the lake. When it came time to pack up we went to the dump station and there is only two dump spots. Now mind you according to the map they give you there is over 500 spots. Oh I almost forgot. Not only did I pay for the spot on line but you have to pay 15 dollars for a parking pass once you get to the park that is an extra little surprise. Over all I am very disappointed with the weekend at this camping area and will never be back. I would encourage people to look elsewhere. Not sure how this campground is rated as high as it is. Very disappointed.

Not many restrooms available close to primitive camp sites, no camp spots actually near the lake. It's a close getaway from town though if you can't afford to drive far from Lawrence.

No reservation needed for swimming!
You can buy the annual camping pass if you plan on camping in Kansas parks a lot for the year, and an annual vehicle pass if you have an additional vehicle. With the annual camping pass you still have to pay for camping but it is essentially 50% off.
Open always
Unfortunately, It is close till June
You can check on the website, kansas parks and tourism. It lets you reserve ahead of time!
The Marina Cove
Yes(washer-dryer) house also/ camp ground 3
Nothing said while we were there but I've seen other parks do it with no warning
Somewhere between $60 to $80 a big depending on the size(number of beds i think) a night.
No limitations noted. I am a camp host there. We have various sites that can handle up to 40 feet and even more depending on the site.
$240-$280 for a camping or camper pass for the entire year. Vehicle passes are $25 per year or 5 bucks a day. Pet friendly but leash law is in effect but park is very easy going and reasonable about things. Hot shower houses also flushing toilets. Electrical hook up is about 300 per month. Primitive sites are 3 dollars per ever 14 days . U move sites every 14 days back and forth between campgrounds 1 & 3. Very easy and close by each other
Yes. You'll need a pass to bring a vehicle into the park (daily is like $5) and there is a nightly camping fee and transaction fee.
No they turned off
It was a barber school at one point.
I would think you would be able to take your dog. Keep it leashed with kids around, and clean up after
There's a dog park right next to the spillway/damn just before you get to Clinton Lake
You need to ask them
Its about 500 boats at the marina but not as many ppl as you would think now the backside of the lake around Bloomington beach is evem a quiet area if i was going camping are bank fishing that woud be the area i would go
