My experience was horrible, terrible, frustrating. I felt hopeless and stressed. I called being nice and respectful with them, I understand how it can be stressful to work in these places, so the whole time I was patient. Well, I didnt get good in return. The man was rude to me, LITERALLY interrupted me to talk and laugh with someone around him. He wasn’t helpful at all, and when I asked him a genuine question he hung up without answering. I called the Kansas City police and thank God they were helpful and nice. All I had was questions to help me protect myself. I hope nobody else get the same as me in a stressful and frustrating moment. They just made it worse. I hope this place get better workers who will serve their people.

That sort of luxury is not a given. At most police departments or inmate facilities, a phone is provided in order to make a collect or similar, (other party billing charges). If an officer feels that the inmate has been cooperative & that they have no other way to get into touch with someone.. they may allow a brief call. By means should one expect/demand this.
No but they do periodically have a youth academy. There is also a youth law enforcement class offered by the CTC program at Fort Osage
I highly doubt that either of those are a yes.
