My daughter loves this park. There is shade and seating at the playground. Stuff to do for little kids and big kids. Great for a picnic, has is a nice pitched track for riding, walking or jogging with inclines. And lots more. We enjoy our visits there.

Best place to have a picnic of small group. Lot of picnic benches under shadow of trees. Parking and restrooms nearby. No barbecue/ fire allowed. No reservation required. Have to grab picnic benches early...

Per their website, https://hempsteadny.gov/facilities/beaches-and-pools/outdoor-pools it's priced like Echo Park: $8/ $4, $9/ $4.50. The lower price is for kids and seniors. It depends on the individual town within the Town of Hempstead you live in what you pay. Queens, Town of North Hempstead residents, etc must be a guest of a Town of Hempstead resident to get in.
