Attempted to make a payment online. Of course their website was down for a day. So they fleeced me for an extra $30 payment since they disconnected my water after I had already paid my bill.

It's where you buy water when you live out in the toolies like me. The you go to their fill station on Utah Trail, just north of Amboy road to fill your portable water tanks. The water is good but for drinking I filter mine using a zero water filter. I got the big one, thirty two cups and I drink that and more daily and it tastes real clean. There is an overabundance of flouride in twentynine palms water so personally I recommend filtering for drinking or cooking.

City should stay in city not county
Is the leak inside, if it is there should be a turn off valve where the water comes into the house. It's either a gate valve or ball valve, turn it off, look for a hose bib, the valve you would hook a garden hose up to, down below the hose bib should be the gate or ball valve, if you can't find it, you should definitely call the water company, if they can't get to you in a day or so you can call me, I'm a journeymen plumber, been plumbing for around 28 years. You can listen to the options menu from there phone line. Or if its a broken line after the water meter you can lift the green lid from the meter box and simply turn the shut-off valve that's in front of the meter aligning the two rings and I will stop the water as well or if there's a shut off valve it would be also located on the incoming water line close to the house you could shut that off to
